ニコニコにも顔アップの【踊ってみた】が現る

My Youtube friend Yamatora has his blog dealing with J-POP dancing and other stuff. I like to read his blog because his POV is often inspiring. In this article (click the blue link above) he’s dealing with the J-POP dancer

In this article, Yamatora says he thinks this video is the first time for him to see an Odottemita video on NND where close-up shots of a dancer’s face are so frequently inserted. He also mentions that the reason she gets lots of negative comments in this video is because she did what other dancers haven’t done yet.

I have my own opinions about this video. Let’s look at the 2nd and 3rd pictures from the top. The location she chose is perfect. She made the best use of perspective.

Secondly, Look at the same pics. Even though the locations change, the positions of her head remain at the same place. That’s important. If not, that’ll distract your attention.

Third, ample lighting is the key to looking good. I see lots of dancers’ videos where lighting is not enough.

Besides, not a few dancing videos are shot with their back to the lighting source.

Look at 1:14 for example. Mirin uses sunlight in her favor. She knows well that lighting can work for or agaist your videos.

Fourthly, let’s not miss her lip synching. I like it, she gives the feeling that she’s enjoying dancing. Don’t need it if you don’t know the lyrics.

Fifthly, her pony-tail works for her. I like it frolicking around to the dance.
